I truly enjoyed Escape to Grizzly Mountain and thought the storyline would have been "weak" because it probably was intended to capture a younger audience. Adults can be so wrong sometimes. hehehehehe And, as the old saying goes: "You can't judge a book by its cover" and you really can't judge a movie until you have seen it for yourself. But, I have to say I found myself thoroughly engrossed in the movie's magic.
What was so genuine but hilarious at the same time was Jay's interaction with Miko Hughes' character when he discovered items from the 21st Century like "Adidas". Smile
About the animals. Does the man not fear anything? Wow, he even had to manage to stay on top and ride bareback on a horse that probably was not too happy about it. Well, Jay sure pulled that one off to perfection because it definitely came across on film that they were the "best of buds." And, I know the big bear was trained, but we all have seen those mishap documentaries "When Animals Attack". OK, it can happen, but I believe that Jay's persona is one that "shows no fear" in any situation. He's always up for the challenge. The adorable pictures of the two of them showed he was relaxed, not intimidated and even playful with the bear and his expressions were priceless.
Another great role to add to the long and growing list of outstanding performances.
Peace,
