Nov 8, 04 - 7:22 AM Keep up the good work
Jay, I just wanted to say that I saw Unbowedd for the first time last month and I thought that you and Tembi Locke did a wonderful job in the movie. Because the two of you had such good chemistry on film, you made the movie seem very believable. I am African Aamerican, Cuban and Cherokee Indian but I was raised as an African American, due to the fact that my great grandmother, who was Indian, was long dead when I was born and my grandfather, who was Cuban, ran off and left my grandmother after she conceived their third child. So because these other two nationalities that I posess inside of me are so unknown, I am always curious about the customs and values of them both. So keep up the good work and I hope to see you in many more movies because you seem to have a good and kind spirit and a wonderful personality that comes across on the screen.

Feb 6, 05 - 12:16 PM True Confessions-love scene-you know the one!
Ok Ladies-I have to confess,
I'm watching my taped version of "Unbowed" for the umpteenth time. The roof love scene is the most beautiful, tastefully done, romantic-muy, muy caliente,..EVER!!!
Oye, all you men out there unaware... watch the movie and please learn somethings from Jay's performance (although it was very convincing-almost-real(smile). This is the way to woo your woman! Enough said -don't want to give the fellas too much performance anxiety.
Jaybird sistas are you with me? Heading to the snow again-really gotta cool of now(big smile).

Nov 29, 06 - 1:05 PM The one of the ROOF....
Talk about hot stuff, Jay on the roof in a loin cloth from the movie "Unbowed", should of been titled "Undressed" boy it was good and I shall never forget it and I have Miss D to thank for this as it was her who gave me the pleasure of seeing Jay on this wonderful movie "Unbowed".... imagine if he would of appeared like that on The Missing, I think Miss Kate Blanchett would have been a blushing beauty... might of even forgotten her lines.... Anyways, I have this pic on-line on a picture website and it has had the most views since i signed up about a month ago.... I guess im not the only one who agrees with how Good Mr. Tavare looks on that roof.....

You will get no argument from me Windsong regarding the roof
But more important than that, Unbowed really showcased Jay's talent as a leading actor. It proved he can carry a movie and I'm looking forward to seeing him in more leading roles and all that being said, Unbowed was a very intriguing move, it got me here

Dec 3rd, 2006 - 9:08 AM Re: It's the Indian way.
Hi Windsong I agree the sight of Jay on that roof is enough to rock a grandma out of her rocking chair but what he has on is what most Indian men wore on a hot summer day, which is when the 3 Indians are brought to the school they arrive at. But I also don't think it is necessary for Jay to have his shirt off to stand out. He did that with all his gear on in the Missing and I could not take my eyes of him anyway. LOL. OR in Adaptation or Cold Mountain for that fact. He is a captivating actor and no matter what he has on you can not take your eyes off him. BTW where is this picture on your website, can I have a look? LOL.

Jul 19th, 2007 - 4:16 PM I received my copy of Unbowed and just LOVE it!
Hi! I received my copy of "Unbowed" and I just LOVE it! It's now my favorite movie ever! Such a sweet story. is brilliant as always!
It's such a beautiful and powerful story filled with such sweet moments. Jay, as Waka Mani, conveys so much deep emotion in every secret glance at Cleola. My favorite moment is when Cleola is crying and he gently covers her with his blanket.
Beautiful story and is BEYOND amazing!
I'm telling everyone I know that they just have to see this movie!
