I first read about the American Indians contribution to the U.S. Constitution from a book titled "The Journey of the Songhai People." Jay also mention this fact in one of his interviews. This was an interesting article. Thanks for posting the link.
I always thought it was strange that the Americas were referred to as "The New World" when really it was older than The Old World, it more likely should have been called The Older World.

I find it incredibly sad that as much as the first people did for the colonists to help them, from survival to relations and even today their chilcrens chilcrens children still are considerably worse off then the rest of the country. its distgusting for lack of a better word.
