You see Nabill in two scenes. When he is loading up his luggage in the overhead area of the plane, and one comes tumbling down when Halle Berry's character comes to help him close the compartment. Also, as he is sitting in his seat looking around from left to right like he is on the lookout.
I had to rewind the DVD a few times because I missed him. I remember seeing it plenty of times before, not knowing that that guy was Jay.

Discovering that Jay only had 24 hours to learn this new language fluently just goes to show how great he is. Jay is a chameleon, able to adapt to any role. What is most intriguing is that it only takes a few minutes for him to convey that to his audience.

Can't wait to see this movie. Going to blockbuster today to rent it. Jay is a very good actor. I feel he is in a class of his own and alot of other actors will have to take their queue from him.

I just watched this movie the other night. I was curious as why Jay learned to speak Arabic when he didn't have any lines in the movie. Or did I miss something?
Also we don't see what happens to him. I saw several of the other terrorists get killed, but after his second scene where he is standing up holding a gun I didn't see him anymore.

As far as we know Jay had to audition in both English and Arabic to get the role of Nabil. All other actors were of Arab American decent and Jay had to be good enough to pass as one to get the role. Also he did have lines but most of the Arabic was cut as was the terrorist scenes, due to WB studio toning the message of the film down. Many Arab defamation groups protested about this film before it's release, and the middle east clashes were at a hight point in 1995-96, so much of Jay and other supporting roles were cut down. This was Jay's second film right after streetfighter and in many ways he had to wait a few more years and a few more film before Hollywood noticed him, His break out role was in Adaptation, with his amazing scene with Meryl Streep, which was shot in 2001, that is when he was accepted as real thespian!

I'm glad you tell us theses little bits and pieces of things about Jay. I didn't know Jay was in this movie, and other movies until I came on this site, and that he was Nabil. He has done and is doing so much as an actor, hope he does so for many years to come. Marora
