Hello All,
Ok, I told you all I'd be back. Laughing But, unfortunately; I STILL have not gotten to see "PATHFINDER", but my son (the aspiring film producer did) and he even took a date. LOL
So, when I asked for his review, this is what he had to say:the movie was not at all as bloody and gorry as some of the film critics had said it was. Then again, he's 19 & plays those online shoot em up video games. Confused Then I asked him -- "Did you see Jay and how was he?" He smiled and said that Jay did good and without telling you all -- well ... let's just say that Jay has a "run in" with those big guys. Sad
All in all, he LIKED the movie. He thought it had a lot of action. However, when I asked him about Moon Bloodgood's role as Starfire, he said they never said her name. Perhaps this was the drawback for this movie in a nutshell. I know Marcus Nispel wanted to convey realism in that neither of the cultures could understand each other -- well ... I think the viewers certainly would have liked more dialogue. It is often difficult to follow a storyline if it is predominately visual. We have five senses and our brains tap into at least two of them when we watch a movie (see/hear). Would be great if someday movies can incorporate touch and smell also like they do at Universal/Disneyworld theme parks. Wouldn't that be awesome? Guess ticket prices would really be astronomical then. Shocked
Just my personal opinion: I think that if Jay had been given more speaking parts, his portrayal of Blackwing would have evolved to a "whole, nother level". Laughing
Moving on & continuing to look upward -- what's next, Jay?
Peace everyone,
~Singlemom~
