Miss Davis Asks...
Greetings and Salutations Jay!
Believe it or not, I have finally come up with a question that I haven't asked K.R. yet! My Birthday is March 26 and heresay has it that your birthday is late March early April.
Well my question to you is this: What do you like to do on your birthday? Do you like to travel, stay home and write scripts, hang out with friends, or just do whatever you feel like doing, depending on the age of your birthday?
Next year, I'll be 35. I'm planning to leave the country. I want to do a 17 day cruise that starts in Miami and ends in Los Angeles. . .oh, it goes through the Panama Canal! I'm totally looking forward to it! If the one I want isn't available, I guess I'll take a 7 or 8 day one. I want to check out Belize too!
Hope to hear from you soon!
Holler at cha later!
Jay Writes...
Hello Miss Davis. How is it with you? I cerebrate each day as if it was my birthday! For me, I always start the day by praying and blessing each day for all that is ahead of me. A new day is a new beginning and I try to remind myself of that and stay in tune with the Planetary cycles depending on the time of the year.
Tomorrow is the Spring Equinox which is the true beginning of the year when the day and the night are of equal length signifying the dawn of spring and rebirth. It is a time of starting new and letting go. My birthday is only a few days later. Our World is going through a turbulent phase right now and it is a time of transformation. And as we all know change is never easy. I have no immediate plans but I will celebrate it with some close friends probably. Traveling is one of my passions and a great way to feed your soul. For each nation you visit, teaches us something about ourselves and also how similar we really are despite the cultural variations. I wish you a safe trip.

Congradulation Miss Davis.
Nesh-Ta-Gol-Teh Jay,
I have very much adapted that same philosophy in life and with that frame-of-mind, you can live each day to the fullest and just feel good about life and be ready to face any challenge ahead. Thank you for sharing another part of yourself and your wisdom.
So while we are on the philosophy tip, let me share today's meditation.
Seeds of Love - March 19
It is in loving-not being love,-
The heart is blest;
It is in giving-not in seeking gifts, -
We find our quest.
Love always,

Howdy Jay! How goes it with me? Eh, . . . more or less, pretty okay. Basically things are stranger than fiction in my world right now, seeing that I work for the P.O. I’m having issues with a particular male “critter” that doesn’t want to take “no” for an answer; and I’m willing to bet that you’ve had some experiences with a female "true horror story" or two in your life time. Aaahh, life in the cute/hansome lane.
I like the concept of celebrating each day as if it were your birthday. Each day is a gift to each and every one of us. That’s why each day that we live is called “The Present”. I agree that beginning the day in prayer is very smart. Getting God’s direction and strength for the day is very wise. Each day is different and it has its own challenges in it. I’m just grateful that He never puts more on us than we can bear.
Hmmm. “Staying in tune with the planetary cycles” . . . could you expound on that statement some more for me, Jay? I’m not too sure what that means or what it entails. If starting anew and letting go is the “Spring Thing” for you, then what does Summer, Autumn and Winter dictate for you? The World=turbulent? Definitely! Is change not easy? Not for most of us creatures of habit!
I remember reading something from a previous post about where all you’ve traveled. I forgot which place you said you liked the most, but I totally agree with you that world travel is an excellent way to feed your soul. It’s good to get out of one’s comfort zone and try new things, especially FOODS! I simply love spicy or well seasoned foods!!! Mexican, Thai, Ethiopian, Mongolian, Greek, Italian, Eastern Indian. . . heck, if it’s cooked, I’ll eat it. . . well at least once anyway. I’m not brave enough to try Monkey Brains just yet.
There is one thing that I always learn and appreciate when I go to other countries. . . there is no place on earth like The United States of America, bar none! We ain’t perfect, but there’s no other place I’d rather be! May God’s hand cover us all, forever!!!!!
Thank you very much for your answer to my question , Jay. I truly appreciate your insight. I always find pleasantly amusing to finally get to read how you think!
Holler at cha later, Jay!

Way cool, Miss Davis! Now that's what I call a birthday present!
What's that I see about having trouble with a male critter? You got it right when you said we all had horror stories when it came to the opposite sex. Let me tell one (oh boy, here she goes!)...
My all time worst date was with a guy that just absolutely wouldn't stop bothering me until I went out with him (today we call that "stalking"). The only reason he even knew me was because I worked with his mother and we met when he came to the office to visit her. His mother was such a lovely woman but I could tell this guy was a dirt bag. He just had that creepy look about him, know what I mean? Well, I left that job and he followed me to my new one and the other girls were so impressed that he went to all the trouble to find out where I worked (again, its called "stalking") that they hounded me to go out with him (against my better judgement ), so I did. It was a great date, it really was... First he took me to his local hangout, dive bar where it was ladies night and the gals drank free. I said, "Oh, how lucky is it that I get to drink free?" and he replied, "That's why I brought you here, so I don't have to pay for your drinks all night."
That's One...
Then he proceeded to pound Harvey Wallbangers two at a time, and I quote, "To really get a buzz going."
That's Two...
THEN, he went in search of some drug dealer to "score some blow" and disappeared for an hour.
That was IT...
I pretty much out of there and told him I knew I should have trusted my instincts and never gone out with him. It was pretty obvious that he took me to that particular bar just to get drunk, get high and to show off to his loser barfly friends that he could get a date. Thank god he took THAT hint and never called me again!
Then again, I wasn't very subtle, was I?
What a loser!!

Jay:
I read your post at like 3:00 in the morning Saturday/Sunday. It touched my heart deeply. I tend to be a control freak and take things into my own hands, which of course would explain why my life is somewhat not in control. I re-read your post a couple of times and realized you were right.
I woke up Sunday morning, prayed, thanked the Lord for everything and then went to Mass. Ever since I have made it a point to pray at the start of the day and recount all the good things in my life. You are right that every day we have is a gift from God. I shouldn't waste another day but try to be what God would have me to be.
You are really an inspiration and I thank you for sharing so much with us!
