Nanci Rossov ( Unbowed Dir and Pro )
Jul 14, 05 - 9:57 PM Thank You.
Dear Jay and Sage
Thank you so much for inviting me to your chat room. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Jay's fans.
Once again, I want to thank all of the loyal UnBowed fans who have been so gracious and complimentary in their comments about the film. It is very gratifying to me.
During the chat, several people asked about future broadcasts and the availability of DVD's. Our sales rep is working on both a cable and a DVD deal. I don't know when we'll have either one - but we are persisting!!
Following up on another question from the chat - Starz rarely licenses a film for a second run. However, if Starz receives enough requests, they may decide to broadcast UnBowed again. So . . .
Thank you again
Nanci

Nanci! I wasn't at the chatroom while you were there! But Oh My! I really LOVED Unbowed! I learned a lot about USA history that I never knew about. It inspired me to read up on this little known part of history. I've thought it over and came to the conclusion that a good movie should always inspire the audience to not only feel for the characters, but for the subject matter. Not very many movies inspire me to go out and research the material that was covered in the film. But Unbowed certainly did. I had no idea that anything like that had ever happened in the USA, I had never learned about it in any of my schoolings. It fascinated me, and in the end, educated me. Not to mention your choice in actors really helped a bit. tee hee.
Thanks for making such a great movie.
I just wanted to add one last thing if you ever read this. The movie really, REALLY left me wanting more. I really wanted to know more about what happened to the two main characters after they rode off into the sunset. Do you think that there might perhaps be a sequel? And if not, do you think you could give us a hint of what You think might've happened to Cleo and Waka Mani after they left the school? If you could indulge that little idea in your head for a second, I'd really like to see what your thoughts of what happened to the two characters after the events would've been? Grin.
Thanks! Super awesome film! Ya rock the Kasbah!

Hi Nanci,
Sorry I was not able to make the chat, but my question was going to be "What can we do to help to get "Unbowed" released on DVD or leased to a network? You have just answered my questions.
So, it goes without saying that I will continue on my mission to promote this beautiful movie. Anyone out there who wants to jump on the "Unbowed" train, get on board.
Nanci, I think you are a brillant director, not only because you are a woman but because you forged ahead and developed a company with the philosophy that only few have dared to even pursue. As far as a movie with a theme like "Unbowed", you are probably the first. I admire your courage and
determination. "Unbowed" is a movie that the whole world should be privilged to see.
The best to you always. Please visit us again real soon.
Peace,
~Singlemom~

Hi Nanci, you quite are welcome and thank you for visiting Jay and his Jaybirds. I really enjoyed the chat and learned more about different aspects of how a movie comes together and how each person contributes their talent. Please know that Unbowed is a very specical movie and in my opinion, it is a classic.
And of course, it gave me another reason to talk about my favorite actor to those who also enjoy talking about him, too. LOL.
Best wishes to you Nanci.

Nanci,
I'm sorry that I was unable to attend the chat on this past Sunday but I just wanted to tell you that #1 I love, LOVE, LOVE UNBOWED. #2 LOVED the story line. #3 I will be writing Starz to ask that they broadcast the movie again and also because of you and me flipping the channels one lonely, late night I've gone and fell in love ( in spirit people ) with a sexy, lovable, honest, kind, caring, giving, wise, intelligent, strong and talented man. Fan for life here. So because of you, I just want to say thank you.

Hi Nanci,
We are so happy you took the time to spend with us. Sorry I wasn't present (family health emergency). I heard all about the chat from some of the sites sis's who were there.
So many of us adore "Unbowed" and it would'nt have been such a success without the 3 key players, you, Jay and Tembe.
I , for one, am looking forward to this movie on DVD-will buy several copies and give them as gifts and any other projects you have your hands on, Nanci.
Take care and I will start writing those letters...(smile)
